Predictions
This track is being billed as Red Bull specialty course. Will that be the case in qualifying and when the lights go out on Sunday? In the case for Verstappen, I can see him qualifying easily for pole. Unfortunately for Sergio Perez, a three-place grid penalty means extra work for him in the race no matter where he qualifies. Lewis Hamilton knows his way around this track and with Mercedes showing upgraded car performance in Canada combined with the seven-time world champion looking for revenge from losing out on a podium spot, he will be looking to make some noise in Barcelona. In qualifying, I have Hamilton taking 3rd, Sainz claiming 2nd and Verstappen going fastest for pole. For the race, at the checkered flag I have Perez making a shocking recovery drive to 3rd, Sainz staying in 2nd along with Max bringing in the win for Red Bull.
That will do it for this weekends 2024 F1 Spanish Grand Prix preview. Will you be tuning in for all four sessions leading up to the race? What are your predictions? Let’s enjoy a great weekend of Formula One action!
